Odoo Experience, the fixture of every autumn, was held again this year in Brussels, Belgium from 18 to 20 September 2025, and 40,000 people attended across the three days. Version 19.0 was released at it, so here is a digest of the main new features and improvements, taken from the keynote speech given by Odoo's CEO Fabien Pinckaers on days one and two.
The main new features and improvements in this release are these four.
- putting AI to work
- a new ESG app
- features that were substantially strengthened (quotations, purchasing, the shop floor, audit, PoS Restaurant)
- 100 industry solutions
What follows is a short explanation of each of them.
Putting AI to work
Earlier versions already brought in AI for things like writing and translating, and in version 19.0 AI is put to work across a wider range of apps still.
・Product descriptions in eCommerce, written for you Click the AI button on an eCommerce product description and give your instruction in words, and the description is written for you.

・SEO information filled in for you
One click on the 「オートフィル」 (Autofill) button fills in the meta title, the description and suggested keywords.

・Speech to text
Press the record button and it transcribes the audio, translates it, and summarises it as well.

・AI fields in Studio
Add an AI field in Odoo Studio and write your instruction into its prompt, and AI fills the field's value in for you.

・Automated actions that use AI
In an automated action, choose to update with AI and enter the field to update and the prompt. The example here is an automated action in the Project app that assigns a task to a person automatically.

・Documents filed automatically
Set the conditions for filing in words in the Documents app, and a document is filed automatically when it is uploaded.

・Open view
Give your instruction in words at the AI prompt and it shows the data held in Odoo as a table or a chart.

The ESG app (Environmental Social Governance)
ESG is an acronym of the three things regarded as central to a company's sustained growth: Environment, Social and Governance. EU member states are currently drawing up regulations that will require companies to file an annual ESG report.
Japanese companies with a subsidiary or a branch inside the EU may in time fall under this CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) as well.
Odoo's ESG app uses international databases to track and report a company's carbon dioxide emissions in real time.

It can also measure things such as gender equality and pay gaps.

Features that were strengthened
Small improvements have been made in every app, but what was strengthened substantially this time is purchasing, the shop floor, accounting and PoS Restaurant.
・Quotations Quotation lines can be organised into sections and subsections, detail you do not need can be hidden, and shipping can be calculated automatically.

・Purchasing There are many ways of deciding which products to buy and how many, but setting up minimum stock levels or demand forecasts takes work. The new purchasing feature needs no setup at all: it copes with seasonal variation, it manages fluctuating demand, and it leaves the user free to control it.
Click the suggest button, specify the period you are buying for, which period to take as the baseline and the percentage to raise or lower it by, and it proposes a quantity to buy — which you can also change by hand.

・PoS Restaurant A great deal has been upgraded in PoS Restaurant. Options such as dine-in, takeaway and delivery can be set with a single click, and courses can be sent to the kitchen in order — starter, main, dessert. Part-time staff can get on with their work with their access rights restricted. And customers can now order directly from a QR code that opens a menu on their phone.

・Audit The new audit report builder has made filing an annual report far quicker. Ready-made legal documents, dynamic fields and templates for supporting documents let you produce a report tailored to the case quickly.
Bank reconciliation has also been substantially reworked, and now reconciles most transactions automatically.

Industry solutions
Last year brought word that Odoo would be putting effort into solutions for particular industries, and more than 100 of them have now been released — everything from accounting firms and estate agents to driving schools and tattoo parlours.
The list of industry solutions can be seen here, on odoo.com.

For developers
Version 18.0 made it possible to show json data from the URL; in version 19.0, typing 「/doc」 into the URL lists every model and field in the database.

Far more has been upgraded than there is room to cover here.
