Our Services

Odoo Services

Quartile is an Odoo specialist — it's all we do, grounded in a decade of OCA and Japanese-localization work. We support the whole journey, from free trial through implementation to daily operations.

Implementation services

Two routes: custom (Pilot → Agile) or standardized (Quick).

Our default is to explain how, then fill in the parts you can't do yourselves — billed time-and-materials against actual hours.

Step 0 is free: get hands-on in a dedicated trial environment, or have us review an existing plan or environment.

Custom route · Step 1

Odoo Pilot Implementation

¥480,000 — 60-hour package, about 1 month (excl. tax)

When you're seriously considering Odoo and want to confirm the fit before committing to a full build.

Judge the fit quickly: we build a trial environment around your core operations and prepare the plan for full implementation.

Custom route · Step 2

Odoo Agile Implementation

¥12,000 / hour — 3–6 months and up, typically ¥1M–¥10M in total (excl. tax)

The phase after a successful Pilot: replace current systems step by step while day-to-day work continues.

Iterative full implementation in close communication — flexible against changing requirements, transparent on progress and budget.

Standardized route

Odoo Quick Implementation

¥350,000 — 50-hour package, plus ¥9,800 / user / month (excl. tax)

When your processes fit the standard features and you want a quick, fixed-cost start.

A fixed-menu implementation — about one month, no custom development.

Cost examples

How budgets typically come together — orientation, not quotes.

What moves the number

Implementation cost is essentially hours, and the hours follow five drivers:

  • Apps in scope — every additional area (sales, inventory, accounting, manufacturing…) adds configuration, testing, and training hours.
  • Fit to standard — the closer your processes stay to standard Odoo and OCA modules, the fewer the hours; one-off custom development is the biggest single multiplier.
  • Data migration — how much legacy data moves, and how clean it is. Master data and opening balances are the norm; migrating past transaction history is a project of its own — it alone can add millions of yen, which is why we usually advise leaving history in the old system.
  • Integrations — each external system connected adds design and testing work.
  • Your team's share — configuration, testing, and training your own people take on are hours we do not bill.

Implementation

Pilot Implementation (¥480,000) and Quick Implementation (¥350,000) are fixed packages; the variable is Agile — hours × ¥12,000: a pace of about 80 hours a month is roughly ¥1M a month, and full projects typically land between ¥1M and ¥10M depending on scope and how much your team takes on in-house.

Model scenario — compact custom implementation

Think: a company of roughly 10–30 people. A few core apps (sales, purchase, inventory, accounting), 20–30 OCA modules, processes that mostly fit the standard, master-data migration only, testing and training handled in-house.

3–4 months · Pilot 60 h + Agile 150–300 h

  • Pilot Implementation — ¥480,000
  • Agile Implementation — ¥1.8M–¥3.6M
  • Total ≈ ¥2.3M–¥4.1M (excl. tax)

Model scenario — mid-size custom implementation

Think: roughly 30–100 people. A broader scope — say, adding manufacturing or e-commerce — 40–50 OCA modules closing gaps, an external integration or two, and migration kept to master data and opening balances.

6–9 months · Pilot 60 h + Agile 500–800 h

  • Pilot Implementation — ¥480,000
  • Agile Implementation — ¥6M–¥9.6M
  • Total ≈ ¥6.5M–¥10M (excl. tax)

Illustrative arithmetic from our published rates — actual hours depend on scope and on how much your team does itself. Operations costs (below) apply after go-live.

The fastest route to your actual number

No page can price your specific organization — that takes a look at your processes. So we made that look itself a service:

  1. Second Opinion — free. A no-obligation consultation that gives you a first read on scope and approach.
  2. Pilot Implementation — ¥480,000. Requirements validated against a working Odoo, with a scope and budget for full implementation as the deliverable — a real figure, not a paper estimate.

Before you engage us — FAQ

Can we get a binding quote before we start?

Budget guides are on this page; a firm estimate is normally prepared within the Pilot Implementation, where requirements get defined against Odoo's actual capabilities. We bill time-and-materials and, as a rule, do not take fixed-scope contracts — any pre-pilot figure we give from your requirements is a non-binding ballpark.

Why an agile approach rather than waterfall?

Odoo allows fast trial implementations — OCA modules included — so defining requirements against a working environment is far more efficient and accurate than defining them on paper. In our experience, waterfall communication also tends to become one-way, and both sides lose track of why requirements and implementations ended up as they did.

Can you develop custom add-on features?

Yes — Odoo development is core expertise for us. Our stance, though, is to avoid add-on development where we can and fit the work to standard or OCA features first, because one-off customization hurts maintainability and raises future upgrade costs. Expect us to question a development request until we are convinced it is warranted.

Who owns the copyright of developed add-ons?

Quartile retains the copyright, and you receive a perpetual license to use, modify, and distribute the deliverables — source code is always handed over. This arrangement maximizes the value of open source and of reusable work. If you need to hold the copyright yourself, rates are adjusted (typically doubled).

Anything to know about open-source module licenses?

Most modules we use are OCA-maintained — currently 80%+ under AGPLv3 and the rest LGPLv3. AGPLv3 in particular requires that users can access the module's source code, and that modules depending on it carry the same license.

Can you maintain an Odoo customized in-house or by another vendor?

Yes, provided the code quality meets our bar (essentially OCA standards). Code from vendors outside the OCA community often has maintainability problems, and significant restructuring or rewriting — at additional cost — is sometimes needed first.

Not sure where your existing system stands? Ask us anyway — a Second Opinion is free, and you will get an honest read on the code before committing to anything.

Do you take development-partner arrangements with other vendors?

Effectively no. We contract directly with the companies using Odoo, work on time-and-materials terms only, and retain copyright on custom work — a rigid sales/consulting/development split does not fit our agile approach. If a partnership would genuinely create more value for the user, we are open to a proposal.

Can we use the IT introduction subsidy (IT導入補助金)?

Sometimes. Among other conditions, our registration as a support vendor and the service's registration as an IT tool must be current, you must qualify, and the subsidy schedule must match your project. You lead the application paperwork; we advise within our experience but cannot manage the procedure for you.

Not sure where to start?

Tell us where you are — considering Odoo, mid-selection, or already running it — and we'll suggest a sensible first step.
